2. What data we collect and why
When you contact us
If you email or call us, we process the information you provide — such as your name, e-mail address, phone number and the content of your message — in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to you and, where relevant, taking steps at your request prior to entering into an agreement (GDPR art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).
When you browse the website
We use cookies and similar technologies for statistics and marketing. These only run if you give consent via our cookie banner (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)). They may process information such as your IP address, device and browser type, and how you use the site. You can read more in our cookie policy and change your choice at any time.
Bookings and takeaway
Table bookings and takeaway orders are handled by external providers on their own platforms (booketbord.dk and nemtakeaway.dk). When you use those services you provide your data directly to them, and they act as independent data controllers under their own privacy policies.
3. Who we share data with
We use the following service providers, who may process data on our behalf:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — website hosting and content delivery.
- Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC — website statistics (Google Analytics), if you consent.
- Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. — marketing measurement (Meta Pixel), if you consent.
Some of these providers may transfer data to the USA. Such transfers are based on an adequacy decision (the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) and/or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
4. How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry correspondence only as long as necessary to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards. Data collected through cookies is retained for the periods stated in our cookie policy.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased;
- restrict or object to our processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@boranthai.dk. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), www.datatilsynet.dk.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with the date of the latest update shown at the top.
